Your baby is the size of an egg plant this week! Your baby on the 26th weeks weighs in at 760 grams. Your baby's eyes are beginning to open and have color now. Essential fats are accumulating under his or her skin now.
Your Body
Your BP may elevated this week but its not a cause for worry unless your hands and feet swell severely and your vision blurs in which case you have preeclampsia. You should visit the doctor immediately if this is the case. You're prone to vaginal infections that may be harmful to your little one so, visit the doctor if there is excess discharge.
Food & Nutrition
Calcium and Vitamin D, the essentials of pregnancy. Check if your dairy intake is adequate. Kidney beans and soya beans should also be on the menu. Calcium promotes teeth and bone development in the fetus and Vitamin D helps in the absorbtion of Calcium.
