You are 16 weeks pregnant and your baby is the size of a avocado! Your little one weighs 100 grams and has a functioning circulatory and urinary system. Your baby has also found their new toy! Yes, they will fiddle around with the umbelical cord.

Any real weight gain will now start to surface. You should have gained between 2 to 4 kgs by the 16th week. To feel your baby flutter you should try lying down.
Food & Nutrition
You may suffer through constipation as your baby is weighing down on your intestine so,try eating fiber rich foods like banana and oats to help lighten the blow. Sleep a little elevated to avoid trouble in breathing. If you are craving sweet food reach for yogurt and reach for cheese if salty. Your baby will be grateful for the calcium.
