Childbirth is the most wonderful thing you will experience in your life. It’s a moment and a celebration of its own kind which completely changes a mother. Though we keep on talking about what to do and what not to do during pregnancy and after delivery, it is time we talk to you about what to do during delivery. And taking our first step in this direction, we bring to you some tips to help you have an easier delivery.
1. Push as if you are having a bowel movement
This is definitely going to be tough so in order to give you a sense of what to do just imagine as if you are having a bowel movement. Focus the same way you do when you are in the toilet and just push. The first time experience for every mother is scary and they don’t know what to do exactly. Well, this will probably help.
2. Stay focused
We know you will be undergoing a lot of pain and on top of that the doctor will keep on telling you to push hard. But, it is important that you stay focused and put all your attention to bringing your child into the world.
3. Push with all your might
It’s simple. The harder you push, the more the baby will move down and the faster your pain will go. So, try pushing as hard as you can. With each push, the baby will move down and with harder push even they will know which direction to move in.
4. Push and rest at your own convenience
It is very important that you push the baby out at your own convenience. Taking rest at times even during delivery is not a bad thing and you should definitely do that. Taking rest in between will help you regain your strength and then you can start pushing again.
5. Shorter breaths
Taking long breaths brings in less oxygen to the lungs. Shorter and quicker breaths on the other hand supply more oxygen to the blood stream and will help in the baby’s delivery and will provide more strength to you while dulling the pain.
Childbirth is indeed a great experience that requires a lot of attention, will power and strength. Maybe that’s the reason why only women can bear children. They do have the strength to literally bring a person out of their body.
