The Most Adorable Story You’ll Read Today!

Chloe Bridgewater from Hereford, England is a very determined 7 year old. While her friends are busy playing with their toys, Chloe has made up her mind that she wants to work at Google. This conscious career choice came about after an influential talk she had with her father. She asked her dad about his work as a refrigerator parts sales manager, and he told her what it was like. She then proceeded to ask if there was any other place that he’d like to work at.

That is when Andy Bridgewater, her father told her about Google. "I said Google would be cool and she asked why. So I showed her the pictures of their offices and the cool things they do." Little Chloe was transfixed at the pictures of the Google office, replete with bean bags, slides and go-karts.

Mighty impressed, she told her father that she had decided that she wanted to work there. To this he suggested that she send them an application. And so it was, that Chloe Bridgewater got down to pen her job application for Google. In her application she was really up front about not knowing how to go about applying for a job, "My dad told me to give you an application to get a job in Google. I don't really know what one of them is but he said that a letter will do for now."

In her letter, addressed to the ‘google boss’, she mentioned her aspirations, qualifications and references meticulously. She wrote that she wants to work in a chocolate factory as well and swim in the Olympics. She describes why she is qualified to work at Google. “My teachers tell my mum and dad I am very good in class and am good at my spelling and reading and my sums.”

How insanely cute is that?

Imagine her surprise when she received a reply from Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai after a few days.

In his adorable response, Pichai addressed the girl in a thoroughly inspiring manner, complimented her on her interest in computers and technology, and encouraged her to keep up at her pursuits with the same decisiveness.

“I think if you keep working hard and following your dreams, you can accomplish everything you set your mind to - from working at Google to swimming at the Olympics,” Pichai said. “I look forward to receiving your job application when you are finished with school! :)”

In an interview, Mr. Bridgewater explained that Chloe had lost her confidence because of an accident a couple of years ago and was still recuperating from that. This letter proved to be an incredible confidence booster for the little girl.

He wrote in his LinkedIn post, "She is now even more eager to do well at school and work for Google,"
