The Best Way To Introduce Your Child To Fruits

Nice Cream. No, not ice cream. Yes you heard it right. Nice cream is an alternative to regular ice cream because it is literally made out of frozen blended bananas - that's it! Different fruits and flavours are added to make it more interesting. Mangoes, raspberries and chocolates make a good blend with frozen bananas.

Why Nice Cream? Because they are healthier than ice creams and they are a great way to introduce fruits to your child. They have all the essential nutrients like Vitamin B6 and Vitamin C from bananas. They are also a good source of potassium and manganese. And to add on to that the nutrients from the other blended fruits. These nutrients are very essential for the healthy growth of your child.

How to freeze the Bananas

1. Do not freeze your bananas with the skin on.

2. It doesn’t come off again. Don’t freeze them when they aren’t ripe either. Brown and spotty or not at all. Green or yellow bananas aren’t ready and won’t be nearly as sweet or creamy.

3. They might give you some digestive issues. If you want to make blending really easy, then break the bananas into chunks before freezing ( break each one up into about 4 pieces).

4. Try not to have your freezer on extreme freeze mode – you want frozen bananas not ‘ice’ bananas. Use them when and how you want it by just taking them out a few minutes before you start blending all the ingredients.

Here are a few recipes that might help you make some delicious nice cream!
