You can easily cook this halwa recipe with fresh khoya or mawa. It’s flavorful aroma and extravagant taste will keep you enticed to sneak it into your diet. It tastes more like a carrot halwa and is the most nutritious halwa recipe you can ever think of.
- 4 tsp ghee
- 1 cup grated beetroot
- 1 cup khoya
- 1 tbsp ground cardamom
- 1 cup full-fat milk
- sugar as required
- 8-10 almonds
- 20 raisins
1. Heat 1 cup milk in a wide bottomed container and heat it till it comes to boil. Take another karahi and add 3 tbsp ghee in it.
2. Add grated beetroot and sauté it well for 2-3 minutes. Cover with a lid and cook it for another 5-6 minutes.
3. Now add hot milk and mix it well with the beetroot mixture. You need to stir it well until the milk reduces to one-fourth of its original quantity.
4. Add mawa and mix it well. Once the beetroot starts thickening add cardamom powder and mix well. Garnish it with dry fruits and it’s ready to serve.
