Talking about going to the hospital, in the fifth month, you will undergo a lot of scans and medical procedures as it is the time for your second quarter scan. These scans are called "anomalous scans", "morphology scan" or "20-week scans". These scans are usually done between 18-20 weeks of pregnancy. If you are preparing yourself for a scan and wondering what will happen, then this article is for you.

How to prepare yourself for a scan?

There is no need for any separate preparation for the anomalous scan. Just keep calm and arrive at the hospital fifteen minutes before your appointment, so that you don’t have to rush.

To have an accurate scan, your bladder should not be filled like it was in the first three months of your pregnancy. One thing you should know is that apart from other scans, it may take a lot of time but if your baby is co-operating during the scans, it will just take 45 minutes.

What are the tests done during the anomaly scan?
