When your little kiddo turns 1 year old, it is a huge milestone, more for the parents than the child. A lot of parents put in a lot of effort into planning an elaborate and grand party. This might be a great memory, but your baby might not enjoy the party very much.
So here are some tips on how to make sure your munchkin enjoys his/her birthday party as much as you want them to.
1. Watch the clock
Babies can be very restless and have a short attention span, so make sure you don’t have a very lengthy party. Your child is most likely to be happy and smiling the entire party if the party is short and sweet.
2. Make it a VIP only party
Only invite your closest friends and family. This way your baby will not get overwhelmed and can have fun during the party. Also, this way, you can keep the costs down.
3. Hire help
When you are hosting a party, you have to be available to the guests at all times. For this purpose, it is a good idea to hire some help like a nanny. This way, if your child wants to take a quick nap, you don’t have to leave the party.
4. Balloons galore
Babies love balloons. Invest in getting a lot of adorable balloons, but preferably get foil or Mylar balloons instead of Latex ones. This will prevent any choking hazards.
5. Have a playground
Your kid and all of his/her baby friends are all probably on all fours. So, create a cute play area to keep the kids entertained while their parents get a chance to unwind. Make sure all the toys are baby-safe though.
