How To Ensure Your Family Gets The Multi-benefits Of Multigrains

As a mother, we only want to provide the best of nutrition for our family. We try to ensure that they get healthy, well-balanced meals every day. But, with a job to maintain, kids to run after and a house that needs cleaning, finding the time to prepare wholesome meals becomes difficult. Add to it the fact that kids can be real picky about their food and that you simply can’t get them to eat healthily. Yet, we still want to ensure that our loved ones get all the nutrition they need.

Without the right kind of nutrition, we cannot function as efficiently as we are supposed to. The same goes for the kids, husband and the in-laws. Of course, we also need to exercise regularly and drink water to stay fit but nutritious meals are what give us the fuel to keep going. The right amount of fruits, vegetables, meat or protein and grains/cereals are all necessary for good health.

Now, the kids are not going to agree on eating plain old whole grains like oats or brown rice. They are more accustomed to eating their favourite foods - be it parathas, pasta, rolls or sandwiches. So, why not make their favourite foods much healthier? All we need to do is experiment with a little help of Aashirvaad Atta with Multigrains.

This is what I tried with my family for the last few months and I realised - it works! Replacing the regular wheat atta with Aashirvaad Atta with Multigrains has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My family now gets the nutritional benefits of all the grains in the multigrain atta - wheat, oats, channa, maize, soya and psyllium husk. I even did a bit of research of my own to find that every 100 gms of Aashirvaad Atta with Multigrains contains 14.43 gms of protein, 57 mg of calcium, 16.3 gm of dietary fibre and 3.7 mg of iron. It also contains Vitamin B1, B2, B3 along with folic acid which is why I try to incorporate the atta in every meal - including snack time.

Get creative with the meals

The secret to a healthy family is not just using the right ingredients but also being creative with what you prepare for them. Nobody is going to like eating the same old roti with sabzi every day. You might be able to convince the adults in the house to eat it, but the kids are definitely going to get bored of this. So get experimental and try out different recipes.

The Multigrain Atta can be used not only to prepare rotis and parathas, it can even be used to make pasta dough and crispy cutlets. This means that you will be able to surprise your family with continental dishes like lasagna or spaghetti. You could even prepare some nice sweet dry fruit laddoos with a little help of the multigrain atta - a recipe that is sure to impress the in-laws. For kids, you could prepare fruit pies like apple pie or banana pie. Make sure to use multigrain atta instead of maida. It tastes just as good and is a much healthier option.

Plan the meals in advance

There is no limit to experimenting with what your family does and does not like. Plan out your meals for the whole week during the weekend and you will never go wrong. Figure out what everyone in the family likes and decide what you are going to prepare every day. Try not to repeat the same meal more than once in a week.

My kids don’t like the same things me and my husband like. I have to prepare separate dishes for the kids. My MIL is diabetic so I have to again be careful with her meals. Planning ahead in time has definitely helped me a lot in keeping everyone happy and healthy.

One important factor in being prepared in advance is to keep a good stock of food ready for the whole week. This means that you should keep enough fruits and vegetables in store. I try to include one new vegetable in my pantry every week to ensure that there is a variety in my meals. Dairy and meat products should be fresh so I buy them right before I cook. If the store is too far away from your house, you can buy them in advance but try to cook it within a day or two after you buy it.

Another magical ingredient you should keep in your homes is Aashirvaad Atta with Multigrains. This is what will help bind all your meals together. It is definitely the perfect choice for a happier and healthier family. Order your pack of Aashirvaad Atta with Multigrains right away!
