Pregnancy is the time where you will be getting a lot of advice from your relatives and friends on what to eat and what not to eat. Among all the advice one of them for sure is drinking adequate water.We all agree to this fact that drinking water has many benefits yet it is the most ignored thing in our lives. Our body contains 60%water and we lose a lot of it during our daily activities.

Why should we drink enough water during pregnancy?

If you don’t drink your body will run out of the water soon. Hydration is most necessary for proper functioning of our body.when you get pregnant you are now dealing with two bodies at a time your body requires a lot of water intake because of many body changes.The health benefits of drinking sufficient water are not something new.

Water provides those necessary nutrients to your baby Water carries nutrients to cells and flushes out harmful wastes.During pregnancy, the woman’s blood volume increases significantly so it is important to drink more water than usual to prevent dehydration.

How much water should your drink??

There are no officials standards on what should be the adequate amount of water to drink in a day. The daily water requirements differ from person to person and moreover, nature has equipped each of us with a very sensitive water-detector in our body It knows exactly how much water we need. We should learn to pay attention to it.There are many different opinions on how much water we should be drinking every day. Most of them commonly recommend eight glasses, which equals about 2 litres, every day.Of course, drinking a little more is harmless. But drinking to meet some hypothetical target is pointless.You have to trust yourself and stop following things blindly

You should replace all your soda, cola, drinks and coffee with water or coconut water.This will not only have health benefits but will also keep your body water levels at par.To sum up we can say that drinking plenty of water is important for pregnant ladies but excess of everything is dangerous If you are thirsty, drink some water. If you are still thirsty, drink some more. But if you are not thirsty, stop drinking until you get thirsty again!!!!!
