Here Are 6 Things Your Baby Loves In The Womb

During your pregnancy, you do everything you can to keep your baby healthy. The first time you feel your baby move or kick is a milestone that you remember and cherish. At the same time, your baby too enjoys this journey. They are after all, so close to mommy at the moment.

But did you know there are specific things that your baby in the womb LOVES? Here are some of the things your unborn baby loves:  

1. Mom’s Voice

Babies hear their mom’s voice for the first time when they are in the womb. As a result, they grow to love the sound, and can even recognize it at birth. Talking to your baby during pregnancy helps you bond with them as well as keep them happy. Read your little one a short story, or simply tell them how much you love them.

2. Music

At an appropriate volume, play some mild music on your radio. You don’t exactly need to put headphones around your belly. It is thought that music can cause the release of serotonin, a neural chemical that makes us happy.

3. Happy Mom, Happy Baby

The baby feels your mood. It is important to manage stress during pregnancy for this reason. Moreover, your baby is likely to feel happy when you are happy. They just love seeing mom happy!

4. Gentle Belly Rubs

You can try to gently rub some coconut oil or cocoa butter on your bump. Not only does this take care of your skin, which is stretched, dry and itchy, but it also stimulates your baby. Be gentle, and stick to natural oils for this soothing massage.

5. When Mom Eats

Ever noticed that your baby moves more after you’ve eaten or drank something? Your baby gets a nice boost of energy when you eat, and this makes them happy. Try making a nice banana smoothie with bananas, oats and peanut butter. Bananas are a source of energy and potassium for you and your little one, and can help both of you feel calmer.

6. Exercise

Your baby likes the mild changes in activity level as you move about. Exercise during pregnancy should be mild, safe and doctor-approved. Taking a walk, or prenatal yoga, or even swimming for that matter can help keep you and your baby healthy and happy.
