Nothing in life is easy. Right from the day, we are born up until the day we die, all there is for life is to struggle. Be it a 1-year-old baby or a 90-year-old woman, everyone makes decisions at their own level and have to deal with life accordingly. But, as far as mothers are concerned, it’s not just their own life that depends on them but the life of an innocent child who is looking up to them to help him/her make his/her decisions. This sometimes puts so much stress on the mother that it becomes difficult for her to cope with life altogether. And this is completely normal. Everyone feels overwhelmed every now and then in their life. It is just how life works. But, it is not how life should always be. And so, in order to bring a change in your life, we would like to give you a few tips on how to cope with life.
1. Always have some “Me” time
Yes, you have responsibilities and yes you have to take care of those responsibilities to the best of your abilities. But that doesn’t mean that you can’t take out some time for your own self and do what you like to do. As per most of the psychological studies conducted all across the world, the major reason for moms to be frustrated is that they just don’t spend enough time on themselves. And that results in them being disheartened which results in stress. So, always try to find at least 1 hour for yourself in a day.
2. Deal with problems at the right time
Solving all the big problems at the wrong time of the day also can sometimes result in you feeling bad and sad. Especially at night when it is time to sleep, if you start thinking about all that is wrong then there will be no way for you to get a good night’s sleep. And we all know how important sleep is. So, try solving and thinking about these problems at a time that will not affect your health or daily routine and make sure that you can move on from one issue to the next easily and in no time.
3. Make a list
With the amount of workload that comes on your shoulders alone, it is impossible to remember everything that you have to do during the day. And if someone expects you to remember everything just in your head then they are way too intelligent probably. So stop listening to them and actually make a solid list somewhere on a notepad, stick on or even on your phone so that you can be more organised and you can divide your time accordingly. By being organised you will also be able to reduce the workload and you will do all your work efficiently.
4. Stop trying to move the immovable
Yes, there are certain things in our lives and in our family’s life that we can change easily but at the same time, there are also some things that just cannot be changed no matter how hard we try. And although we give it our best shot to change the bigger things, sometimes these habits and instances become unchangeable to an extent that it is just a waste of time to try to change them. This unnecessary waste of time can instead be better used in making yourself better and get all the other work done. So that at the end of the day you don’t have to think that you wish you would have done all the things you did not do.
Coping with life is one of the biggest challenges that everyone faces. But the people who are able to still enjoy their lives have a strong emotional and physical support system in the form of family and friends and they are able to organise themselves in the best of ways.
