Being rich in dietary fiber, vitamins, and minerals coconut is considered beneficial during and after pregnancy. Here's a sweet way of including it in your diet.


Coconut (fresh) - 1

Milk - 500 ml

Sugar - 125 gm

Cardamom powder - 1/4 tbspn

The ratio of milk:sugar should be 4:1


1. Peel off the top brown layer of the coconut. Now cut in into small pieces and grind them in a mixer. Set it aside.

2. In a deep bottomed pan, add milk.

3. Let it boil.

4. Once the milk is boiled, add the crushed coconut and sugar into it.

5. Let the mixer be cooked on medium flame till all the moisture evaporates.

6. Make sure the mixture is not completely dry and is a bit moist.

7. Add cardamom powder to it and mix well.

8. Let it cool for a while.

9. Now make small balls out of this mixture.

10. The coconut laddoos are now ready to eat.

You can also store it into an airtight container and refrigerate.

You can also use jaggery in place of sugar.

Optional: You can put some kesar (saffron) on top of laddoos to give them a beautiful look.
