Babies are our future and the best person we have in our life. Every parent tends to have expectations from their child and they always want their little one to be the best there is. As such, parents always hope that their child will be intelligent right from the time s/he is born. And so, in order to help you achieve that, we have made a list of some things that you can do in order to help improve your unborn baby’s brain power.
1. Listen to good music
The music that relaxes you, can calm down your baby as well. It can trigger the release of chemicals like serotonin, which not only stabilizes your mood but also makes your baby happy. You can even put your headphones close to your belly for your baby to hear the soothing music for a short duration. By listening to good music, it will help better blood flow and will also help develop brain power.
2. Massage your bump
By moving your hands on your belly and lightly pressing it at the right spots you can actually give a great massage to your little one. By doing that you will be able to help improve the blood flow to your little one’s body which will thereby help improve their brain capacity and the functioning of their head. Also, the amniotic sac is filled with the essential things that your baby needs in order to grow. By massaging you will make sure that they get all the nutrients they need to the optimum levels.
3. Exercise daily
Pregnant women must exercise for some time every day to lower risk of gestational diabetes, get rid of constipation, gain pregnancy weight in a controlled way, reduce labour duration, fight off morning sickness etc. Exercising releases feel-good hormones called endorphins, which even pass through the placenta to your baby. Also, while exercising, increased blood flow in the body aids your baby’s development and helps in increased brain activity thereby increasing brain function.
4. Take in as much sunlight as you can
The vitamin-D from the sunlight can help in the development of your baby’s bones. Don’t overdo it but make it a habit of sitting or walking in the sun for just 20 minutes every day. The vitamin-D from the sun will help give more energy to the fetus while making the bones stronger.
5. Talk to them
Believe it or not, your little one can actually hear you while s/he is in the womb. This means that you can actually talk your heart out with them and they will understand with you. By talking to them more you actually help improve their brain power which will ultimately help improve their thinking and listening capabilities.
