Celebrity Moms You Can Follow And Relate To

When we think of celebrity moms, all that comes to our mind is pre-baby perfection body within weeks after giving birth, their kids wearing world’s cutest dry-clean-only couture and the mom who keeps flaunting with their perpetual glow and telling how beautiful motherhood could be. And then there are celeb moms who don’t hesitate to talk about the lows of motherhood and how difficult and stressful it could be at times. Here are a few such celebrity moms who talked openly about their motherhood and made us feel they are one among us.

Aishwarya Rai:

The Beauty Queen of B-town, Aishwarya Rai, gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at the age of 38. Although in most of the cases, celebrities prefer to go with C-section after the age of 30, our Aish chose to give birth naturally.

What makes us relate very much with Aish? Her pregnancy-weight! Instead of hitting gym neurotically or starving herself to fit into those old jeans, she took it at a slow pace. She had her priorities in place. She did everything to get right nutrition for her baby and for herself. She taught every mom “to be comfortable in their own skin”. When she stepped out for events and premieres with her post-pregnancy kilos intact, and when the world of “Weight-watchers” called her “No-more-ravishing”, she hit back saying: “Weight gain can happen at any point in time, and it is something that you are dealing with anyway, and it is OK. It is ridiculous to have this dictate your life because it is not the outside that defines who you are.”

Something that every mom out there need to learn is the way to brush away the body shaming in a smart way, just like our gorgeous Aish did.

Genelia D’souza:

Genelia is known for her lovely looks and lively manner. She is a mother of two little boys. Although she is charming and chirpy, she has her difficult times too. A few months back in an event which marked the launch of “Baby dove” in India, she expressed her feelings: “Being a working mother, I feel guilty as well, like right now I am here at this event and I have left my four-month-old son behind. But I also feel that it is an emotion and as a mother you tend to get emotional all the time and that's completely fine”.

Well, looks like even our celeb mums go through the dilemma of choosing kids over the office or the other way, just like any other working mums.

Serena Williams:

The Tennis champ, Serena Williams, is a strong and tough woman. But the motherhood and its highs and lows is something that could melt down any robust soul. Just like any other mothers, she is adorably infatuated to her daughter, Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr. But also, she has had her rough times. That makes her one among the other typical mums. Here is what she got to say about her emotional roller coaster ride: “Sometimes I get really down and feel like, Man, I can’t do this. I guess that’s just who I am. No one talks about the low moments—the pressure you feel, the incredible letdown every time you hear the baby cry. I’ve broken down I don’t know how many times. Or I’ll get angry about the crying, then sad about being angry, and then guilty, like, Why do I feel so sad when I have a beautiful baby? The emotions are insane.”

Zoe Saldana:

The American actor and dancer, for sure, looks stunning on the red carpet when she is dressed to the nines, but she is no exception when the motherhood comes into the picture. She confessed that she would rather be wearing flats chasing her two sons. She admitted motherhood and heels don’t always mix and told Instyle, “There’s something that happens to your body hormonally, and it’s not just the weight you acquire, but it’s also your nerves, your muscles. Everything is just so, agh! So, everything hurts and feels uncomfortable.”
