Bullying is the act of using force or strength to intimidate others either emotionally or physically. It can also be to shun them away from a group. Bullying is a social activity. You may think that bullying is uncommon among kindergarteners, but this isn’t true. Even at such a young age kids are bullied.

Who is a bully?

Research shows that a bully is someone with low self-esteem. Such people find joy in thriving upon other people’s sadness. Or they feel happy by making others feel less of themselves. Make sure your kid isn’t the bully, if he/she is, then you need to immediately resolve the problem. Talk to him/her about it and make him/her understand what they are doing wrong. Look for the root cause of the problem and immediately set about to resolve the issue.

Bullies generally do not confront people in groups. Tell your child to always have a friend with them. It could be when they wait at the bus stop or during lunch break. There is always strength in numbers and your child can always help his/her friend out in the same way if he/she needs it.
