Are you constantly feeling exhausted all the time? Do you feel like you are running out of energy even though you just woke up? Well, even though we generally think that all we need is a few more hours of sleep, it can be because of nutritional deficiency too. Optimum nutrition is essential for our body to keep functioning properly throughout the day.
Extreme tiredness and loss of energy can happen for multiple reasons, the most common ones being the issues related to physical and mental health. Maintaining a physically active routine and indulging in a healthy, balanced diet will help you keep your family’s physical and mental health on point. But today’s fast-paced lifestyle patterns take a toll on your family’s health too.
As a working mother of a toddler, my everyday life had become more like a constant battle to keep up with my jam-packed daily routine. All my energy was drained by the time I’d come back home from work. Due to extreme tiredness, I couldn’t even give proper attention and spend some quality time with my little one. Continuous work flushes away the energy and strains the body as well as the brain. Our bodies can only handle so much stress. At one point, our body starts showing us the signs to inform that it needs rest.
At times, for any mom leading a modern lifestyle, it becomes really hard to balance both personal and professional lives as well as care for your whole family properly. Amongst all the duties and responsibilities, we tend to miss out on taking proper care of ourselves and resort to anything that makes our lives even a bit easier. But we should always stick to the options which are healthy for our family and avoid eating foods as per only our convenience.
When it comes to fighting extreme tiredness, I make sure my family follows these -
Drink more water:
Due to dehydration our cells and organs can lose their ability to function properly. We need to drink at least 2-3 litres of water in a day to keep ourselves hydrated.
Improved food pattern:
Previously when I used to get late for work, I’d skip my breakfast without even giving it a single thought. Slowly it started reflecting on my health and I started experiencing extreme weakness as well as loss of productivity. I immediately changed my food pattern and make sure never to skip a meal again. Maintaining a proper food pattern is important for a healthy lifestyle.
Improved nutrition intake:
Right nutrition plays an important role in the proper functioning of our body. Combined with physical activity or exercise, a nutrient-rich diet keeps us healthy and help us fight disease-causing bacteria.
I make sure to prepare meals that are packed with essential nutrients so that my family’s nutrition intake is on point. That is why I chose multigrains over our regular wheat flour, as it provides the benefit of multiple grains. I switched to Aashirvaad Atta with Multigrains as it contains wheat, soya, chana, oat, maize and psyllium husk. Loaded with all the necessary proteins, dietary fibres, vitamin and mineral, this healthy choice makes sure my family gets all the nutrients to keep themselves active throughout the day.
Good food and lifestyle choices promote good physical and mental health. Therefore, it is important to pay particular attention to the type of food we have on a regular basis. Our body depends on the food we eat, just as our family depends on us, mothers.
