Aging is something feared by all women alike, and what’s worse is that it can’t be avoided. However, it can be delayed and even turned into a much more graceful process, that too with things lying around under your very own roof! Check out these 10 easy fixes to get rid of those lines and aging spots
Honey has antioxidant, antibacterial and moisturizing properties that work wonders for aging skin. Its natural sugars (polysaccharides) contain enzymes that boost skin cell function. It also helps in maintaining a healthy pH balance and locks in necessary oils. Just wash your face, apply a thick layer of raw honey for about 20 minutes once a day and voila, bye bye wrinkles! Easy, right?
2. Lemon juice
Lemon juice has bleaching properties and helps reduce dark spots that tend to show up with age. Also, drinking lemon in water and honey on an empty stomach detoxifies the body and gives you shiny, glowing skin.
Rose water has skin tightening properties and gives a healthy glow to the skin. It can also be mixed with sandalwood powder to get rid of dark spots and to maintain a healthy complexion.
4. Essential oils
Mix 8 drops hazelnut oil, 4 drops of sandalwood oil, 6 drops of chamomile oil and 5 drops of carrot seed oil and store it in a closed container. Apply it every night before going to bed to get rid of under eye lines, dark circles, and crow’s feet!
5. Castor oil
Take a few drops of castor oil and massage it well into the skin of your face and neck. Do this every alternate day, and let it stay overnight. It will soothe the skin and reduce fine lines and wrinkles over time.
Pineapple has phytochemicals and micronutrients that help get rid of the very first signs of aging. Simply clean your face and rub a slice of pineapple for 5 minutes, 2-3 times a week to protect your skin from aging!
7. Strawberry pack
In addition to being a very yummy fruit, strawberry is rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C, which helps in maintaining skin elasticity and keeping the signs of aging at bay. Simply mash a few strawberries finely and apply it to a clean face once or twice a week for amazing, youthful skin!
8. Potato juice pack
Potatoes are a rich source of Vitamin C which helps restore collagen and maintain skin elasticity. Simply grate a peeled potato and squeeze out its juice. Use a cotton ball to apply this juice to your face and neck twice a week to fight aging.
9. Egg pack
Egg whites are rich in anti-aging agents like zinc, proteins and omega-3 fatty acids, all known for their skin tightening properties. Mix one egg white with half a teaspoon milk cream and one teaspoon lemon juice. Apply this mixture for 15 minutes and rinse off with cold water twice a week for best results.
And remember, quit smoking, limit alcohol consumption, have a healthy, balanced diet with lots of fruit and leafy greens, start exercising, drink a hell lot of water and always clean your face before settling into bed to get beautiful, young skin!
