You may be able to somehow adjust to the routine but if you don’t make some changes and adopt some healthy habits to support your modern life, you will only end up compromising with your health. 1. Keep yourself hydrated:

The water flushes down the toxins from the body and rejuvenates the cells as well as fastens the cell repairing process. 2. Manage stress - meditate daily
Another important habit that you must adopt is to meditate and exercise daily at least for 20-30 minutes in order to maintain a peaceful and healthy lifestyle. The fast-paced lifestyle can get too hectic and stressful. As the stress starts to pile up on your shoulder day after day, it not only degrades your productivity but also hampers your health and your relationship with the family. Therefore, free yourself from the heavy load of stress and tension by dedicating some time for meditation. 3. Never skip breakfast:

Without a proper and nutrient-rich breakfast, your brain doesn’t get the boost it needs to get out of the lethargic state and hence, cannot function properly.

With reduced physical activities, the risk of stroke, high cholesterol, heart disease, high blood pressure etc. increases. You don’t have to join the gym or yoga classes and do some extensive cardio to keep your body active. Practice some basic yoga poses or exercises, go for a run in the morning with your dog, go for a stroll with your kid in the evening, take the stairs instead of the lift - a little activity goes a long way.
5. Not only yummy but a healthy diet:
What you eat builds the very foundation of your health. Prepare yourself a healthy diet chart including all the healthy foods that provide a balanced combination of essential nutrients such as protein, carbohydrate, fats, vitamins and minerals. Develop healthy eating habits by adding more fruits and vegetables into your diet and cutting down on the calories. Instead of grabbing those sugary or junk foods, munch on those yummy and crunchy nuts. But, you don’t have to restrict yourself too much - do enjoy your favourite ice cream or a plate of panipuri every once in a while.
6. Get enough sleep:
Just like every machine needs to be shut down for a while after continuously functioning for hours, your body also needs an adequate amount of sleep in order to restore its energy and strength. Develop the healthy habit of going to bed early and sleeping for at least 7-8 hours everyday. Your brain undergoes through a relaxation phase and body cells get repaired or healed while you sleep. Adequate sleep improves memory, attention, muscle formation, the health of the heart and other body organs as well as reduces stress and depression.

7. Work on your organisational skills:
A healthy lifestyle is essentially a balanced lifestyle. Do you also feel like 24 hours isn’t enough for you to finish all your work and daily responsibilities? Prepare a generalized time-table or routine dividing each day into hours or minutes needed to complete each task arranged according to priority. Try to keep the multi-tasking to a minimum if you are not being able to manage two tasks at once. What is life without our loved ones around us to share our moments of joy, sorrow or success with? Responsibilities towards them is another thing, but to nurture a deep connection and maintain a happy as well as a healthy relationship you need to spend some quality time with them.
