7 Great Skincare Tips For Every To-Be-Mom

Pregnant women glow during their pregnancy. That is a fact. During pregnancy, women’s skin may also acquire pigmentation, which can make it look pale and dull. That is also a fact. But if you want glowing, healthy skin all the time, you need to take special care and get yourself into a skincare routine.

Once you familiarise yourself with a routine, it’ll become easier to follow it. Within no time, you’re on your way to great skin! We’ve got 8 simple tips for you to take care of your skin during your pregnancy:

1. Drink Enough Water

This means drinking at least 2 liters of water or any other form of liquid every day. Water, as you know, helps wash out toxins from your body and maintains the amniotic fluid levels in your body, which is essential for your baby’s health and yours.

2. Get Enough Sleep

More sleep = more rest = more energy during the day. This will also prevent dark circles and eye bags around your eyes.

3. Focus On Your Diet

Follow a diet chart if possible, and get it sorted with your physician and doctor before you dive into it. Following a healthy diet has its advantages even for your skin and hair.

4. Protect Yourself From Sunlight

Use sunscreen during pregnancy, especially since your skin is sensitive at this time. Consult a dermatologist in case of a breakout of acne or pimples, or if you find yourself having oily skin.

5. Use Trusted Products

Using skincare products from brands that have a trustworthy reputation is more advisable, as they are likely to maintain safety standards and won’t harm your baby.

6. Take Off Your Makeup And Moisturize Before Bed

Never sleep with your makeup on. They are meant to be on your face only for a few hours (failing which it may become permanent!) Be sure to use gentle scrubs. Also, moisturize to keep your skin healthy.

7. Keep Calm

Stress is a sure-shot way to give a free pass to wrinkles and all sorts of lines to form on your face. It is neither good for you nor your baby.
