6 Things Women Hate Their Husbands Saying
Gone are the days when the battle of the sexes was actually a “thing”. It’s the 21st century we live in and as partners, we have learnt how to manage and contribute both to our works and home responsibilities along with our significant others successfully. We don’t exactly have to worry about being multitaskers compared to the times our mommies and grandmommies bore children and really, what a relief it is.
All said and done, we aren’t taking away from the fact that husbands are extremely helpful these days, but every age and era sees some form of sexism. This is something we absolutely detest about men, especially when it comes from our husbands; for if not husbands, who else would understand our needs?
Today, let us be brutally honest and actually have a look at some things husbands do that make us say, “What were you even thinking?”
1. Asking us to cook because they’re too lazy to do so after work
Undoubtedly, we live in an age where husbands are a part of the kitchen as much as we are. So, it is not very nice for use to come back tired from work and hear him say, “Baby, can you please make dinner tonight?” You just wish he would understand that he’s not the only one who’s had a busy day.
2. Expecting us to be mum during game time
It’s a Saturday and you’re in a very romantic mood only because you know Monday’s two days away. You want to spend some quality time with your husband, and it is so disappointing when your husband says, “EPL’s having a match, I’m going out with my boys tonight.”.
3. Asking us to go easy on everything during pregnancy
It’s incredible when husbands show an equal interest in being a part of your pregnancy for it is a shared responsibility. Husbands indeed must participate and be around their partners in every case scenario for it is their child too. And no doubt, you have a lot of husbands managing the duty along with you. But don’t you feel they go overboard sometimes with asking you to quit your job and sit at home? Or stop travelling and limit your movement to the house floor? Unless you’re dealing with motion sickness or nausea, why compromise on your freedom to work or travel? Your work is as important as his, and if you’re capable of carrying a life within you, working should be easy.
4. Making us conscious of our weight during pregnancy
It’s not even funny when husbands try to tease you on your weight. Gaining weight is a part of pregnancy and it can be frustrating to be on the receiving end of everything while you know the husbands get to escape.
5. Not favouring you in front of your mom-in-law
Well, if you’re married to a typical momma’s boy, we feel your plight. Those constant bickerings you have with your husband because he sidelines your perspective against his mother on a frequent basis is as annoying as it could get. And you know what is worse, we have too many husbands like that out there.
