6 Oils To Heal Those Stubborn Stretch Marks Naturally

There are people that are extremely confident about their scars. Every one of our scars does have an interesting tale after all - even if it was slipping and falling flat on your face in front of your entire school, causing you to get stitches and a tiny scar on your chin.

Even if you do accept your scars and are comfortable with them (we all do get over it eventually), there are times that you feel insecure about them - especially if you never got scars your entire life and now you have one that just gets on your nerves. We try and do anything possible to cover them up or to get them to fade away. Most creams that claim to make them disappear are either too expensive or just don’t work.

These are some oils that will surely heal your scars and they are not too expensive either - in fact, you will probably find most of these oils at home!

Rosehip Oil

Rosehip oil is most effective when used as a bathing oil. It smells great and will help to reduce the appearance of scars when used over a period of time. Simply add a few drops of the oil to a bucket of water or your bathtub whenever you take a bath.

Coconut Oil

Found in every Indian household, coconut oil has been known for ages to help treat scars and marks. It is also generally good for healthy skin and hair. To treat scars, mix a few drops of lemon juice with coconut oil and apply it every day to heal them. Coconut oil can help with fresh wounds as well, acting as a natural antiseptic and healing the scars.

Mustard Seed Oil

Although it may not smell as amazing as rosehip oil, there is no denying its magical scar healing properties. When you apply this oil on your skin, you will notice the changes in your skin almost immediately. You can mix a bit of mustard seed oil with your favourite moisturizing cream and apply it to your scars every day for a few weeks to see the difference.

Lavender Oil

Yes, this oil doesn’t only have soothing, therapeutic properties, it also has incredible scar-healing properties. Mix a few drops of lavender with water and apply it on fresh wounds to speed up the healing process. For old scars, simply apply a diluted mixture of the oil (lavender oil and almond oil for example) to your skin daily for at least 2 weeks to see the results.

Olive Oil

Use extra virgin olive oil an excellent remedy to help heal scars and marks. It works by removing dead skin cells - which are what the scar is made of - and deeply moisturizing and nourishing your skin.

Carrot Seed Oil

It works brilliantly to heal scars and blemishes when used on a regular basis. Be sure to mix or dilute this oil with a carrier oil before using it on your skin. It helps keep your skin moisturized and can reduce the appearance of fine lines and stretch marks as well.
