6 Home remedies for premature grey

Grey hair is a nightmare for everyone, especially for the women. It is one of the tragic outcomes of the modern lifestyle. Nothing can describe your feelings at the sight of the first silver strand. And the saddening fact is, that there is more to follow.

Grey hair problem arises when the melanocytes around the hair follicles reduce the melanin secretion or completely stops the secretion of the melanin. The occurrence of white hairs as you age is a common one. But when the problem arises in your 20's and early 30's, it is something to be worried about.

Here are providing you some of the natural home remedies to blacken your white hairs, without the application of any chemicals.

1. Black Tea:
What you will need:

1. 2 tablespoons black tea leaves

2. Water

Black tea prohibits the growth of white hairs. It darkens the hair color and gives the hair a glossy look.


1. Boil the tea leaves and allow it to cool.

2. Once it cools, strain the leaves and apply the tea to your hair and scalp.

3. Leave it for an hour and rinse with cold water.

2. Lemon and Amla:
What you will need:

1. Lemon

2. Amla Powder

3. Water

Amla is a rich source of vitamin C and reduces melanin deficiency. Lemon has antibacterial and antioxidant properties. It protects the hair from damage and prevents premature grey.


1. Take four teaspoons of amla powder, two teaspoons of lemon juice, two teaspoons of water and mix them together.

2. Make a paste and let it rest for an hour.

3. Apply it to your scalp and leave for 20-25 minutes. Rinse with water.

What you will need:

1. 2 tablespoon fenugreek seeds

2. Water

Fenugreek is rich in vitamin c, iron, and potassium. It prevents premature greying and scalp dryness.


1. Soak the fenugreek leaves in the water overnight.

2. Grind the seeds in the morning into a smooth paste.

3. Apply it to your scalp and rinse the hair after 45 minutes.

Apart from the above-mentioned remedies, premature greying can be prevented by increasing the water intake, increasing the vitamins intake, and avoiding junk foods. Also, start adding healthy foods like fruits and vegetables in your regular diet to prevent hair fall and hair damage.
