The next major concern that almost every mother has is their child’s height. Having a good height helps the child have a better personality and thus it results in parents running after their child to do one or the other height improving activity. But, apart from physical activities and stretching, the diet and nutrition that the child is getting also plays an important role. And so, it becomes important for the parents to make sure that their child gets proper food filled with proteins, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates etc. In order to help you give proper height increasing nutrition to your little one, we have found out about certain food items that will definitely help you.

1. Milk

Milk is rich in calcium and proteins. Thus, it helps make the bones stronger and provides the much-needed calcium to help increase the height. Also, milk helps improve the red blood cell count and thereby keeps the body fit. By increasing the production of white blood cells, it also helps improve the immune system of the child.

2. Dry fruits

Another height improving food item that you can give to your little one especially during winters is dry fruits. The nutrients found in them help improve the growth by stimulating growth enhancing hormones. But, care needs to be taken that you do not feed them too much of dry fruits as it might cause stomach problems.

3. Fruits and vegetables

One thing that almost everyone knows about but not exactly emphasises much on is eating fruits and vegetables. These food items have the maximum amounts of nutrients present and they help in the overall growth of the child. So, no matter how much your little one tries not to eat them, it is your responsibility to feed enough fruits and vegetables to your child.

4. Eggs

Eggs are full of protein. They also consist of Vitamin B12 which is crucial for your child’s brain development. Eggs help take care of the overall growth of your child and also help increase their height. So, give an appropriate amount of egg to your child to make sure that they grow well.

5. Whole Grains

Whole grains contain a lot of energy in all shapes and forms. They are rich in calcium, iron, magnesium and selenium which are crucial and important for your baby’s growth. Grains such as whole wheat, ragi and oatmeal help increase your little one’s height by giving a boost to growth hormones.

6. Yogurt

Yogurt is an important and delicious source of vitamin D and calcium. Both of these nutrients are important for increasing the height of your child. All other dairy products consist some growth improving nutrient and thus the child should be motivated to have them.
