5 Ways To Pamper Yourself While Pregnant

 

The joy of being pregnant is endless. The thought of having first hand experience of every movement of your baby is immensely exciting. The drawback to pregnancy, however, is that it is tiring. It can be quite exhausting to carry your baby around all the time, the extra pounds you gain in order to carry the baby, can make it quite difficult for you to move around or go about everyday activities. While you’re going through the discomfort, you might as well try to keep yourself as comfortable as possible - by pampering yourself so that the process can be less tedious and more bearable.

1. Spa

A spa treatment can be like a God-given gift. Spend some time in the spa and get a body massage while also pampering your feet with some massages or pedicures. A day at the spa can release all those knots of tension in your back and shoulders, as well as reduce the swelling in your feet. This is sure to relax your muscles, relieve your pain, and leave your skin feeling soft, smooth and supple. 

2. Cravings to Indulge in

Your cravings change at every interval, and this is your moment to give in to them once in a while. Giving into your cravings sometimes and with moderation is absolutely fine. Be it ice-cream topped with melted chocolate and chocolate chips or pizzas oozing with steamy hot cheese or butter chicken with a dollop of melted cream, give in! If you like, you could try some simple recipes to satisfy your pregnancy cravings, making the food at home - it might help you relax as well as ensure that the food is hygienic and safe to eat.

3. Exercise

Exercise is an easy and healthy way to calm your nerves. Doing yoga or simple breathing exercises is another way to pamper yourself - spending some time with just yourself and focusing on your body and mind is a great way to feel better. Listen to your favourite music and enjoy the  stream of thought your mind takes you to. The feel-good songs and some light movement will help your mood elevate by releasing those much-needed endorphins.

4. Shopping

You don't need an excuse to go on a shopping spree, do you? Retail therapy can always lift your spirits, and now you have an excuse to get a new wardrobe considering the fact that your clothes won't fit you anymore for a few months at least. Buy comfortable shoes and clothes that will make you feel pretty no matter what your size. Make sure you don’t go overboard though, as you might feel worried later.

Treat yourself to one or two classic pieces that you adore, and some much-needed purchases - be it shoes, pants or moisturizer. You could also go hunting for cute clothes or booties for your little one.

5. Housekeeper

Housework can be pretty difficult to do when you’re already carrying a weight and in some discomfort. In order for you to pamper yourself, you can ask for help. This doesn’t have to be a housekeeper - it can be as simple as splitting work with the partner, asking help from your mother or your mother-in-law, but if you can, hire a housekeeper that you can trust to take care of all the household chores while you get to rest a while. This will avoid you from feeling overly tired during pregnancy.

You see, pregnancy may be uncomfortable but there’s always a way to make it easier for you. Feeling good for example can help you deal with your symptoms better, and you can try these tips to feel good.
