5 Ways To Boost Your Fertility: For Men And Women

2. Improve your eating habits

You ought to try and keep a watch on the kind of foods you consume when you are trying to have a baby. Try and replace those unhealthy snacks you love with healthier options. If you are a big fan of chocolates, have just one square of dark chocolate a day. Instead of ice creams, have yoghurt. Include a good portion of fruits, vegetables and protein in your diet.

3. Stay well hydrated

Drinking plenty of water is a must when you are trying to conceive. If you don’t, the cervical fluid (through which the sperm flows to fertilise an egg) will become too thick. For men, not drinking enough water reduces the semen produced and also lowers the semen quality. So, ensure that you drink enough water every day.

4. Cut down the caffeine

Coffee is another drink you may have to give up. Give up all caffeinated drinks (coffee, tea, sodas) and switch to decaf. If you are a coffee addict and the thought of giving up coffee makes you sweat, keep it down to one small cup of coffee in a day.

5. Try to stay stress-free

It is common for parents to be under pressure to have a baby. The pressure could be from their family, their partner or just their own tension about why they are not able to conceive. Try to stay calm by meditating and doing yoga.

Remember that these are only additional tips you should follow to boost your fertility. If you think you are facing fertility issues, you must consult your doctor about it. They will perform tests to figure out what is best for you and how you will be able to conceive.
