Water is, in all its glory, the true nectar of life. Most of the human body itself is made up of water and this water needs to be constantly replenished. And if the body does not get this water replenishment called hydration, it starts acting strangely and the brain starts sending signals. Dehydration can often lead to a lot of symptoms popping up in the body that might or might not be related to dehydration. But there are some strange symptoms that might look like the oncoming of some illness but in truth are just dehydration. And so, we have made a list of 5 such symptoms.
When your body is dehydrated, its start pulling in water from the non-essential parts of the body like the colon and supplying that to the essential organs. As a result of this, the bowel movement becomes all the more difficult. This leads to the person feeling constipated which might freak them out. But, maybe, all you need to do is just have some water before going to the toilet.
Feeling tired and fatigued is generally related to overworking or even improper sleep. But, what you might not know is that you can actually feel weak and fatigued just because you haven’t had a glass of water in a long time. If you are dehydrated, your brain will have to divert a lot of its attention to conserving that water and will thereby try to reduce the energy consumed. This energy conservation happens when the brain sends you signals resulting in you feeling tired and fatigued.
3. Anxiety and unable to think clearly
Yes, there are a multitude of reasons due to which you might feel low and would have anxiety and there are even more reasons for you not being able to think clearly. But, there are also chances that all you need is a glass of water or your favourite juice to feel happy again. Research has shown that dehydration can often be responsible for your bad mood or brain fog.
4. Improper blood pressure
Blood is mostly and majorly made of water. And though there are chances that you might be suffering from some other illness, the up and down in your blood pressure can be because of just dehydration. If there will be less water content the heart will pump it a bit slower in order to keep as much water as it can from being absorbed by non-essentials thereby giving rise to improper blood pressure.
Headaches can often be related directly to a lack of water content in your system and can actually be seen as your body’s way of coping with a lack of water. So, it is important that you drink a glass or two of water first before you end up taking any headache medicine.
