5 Reasons Why You Might Not Be Getting Pregnant

Pregnancy is something that almost every woman looks forward to. Having a child of their own and someone they can guide and nurture is often something of a dream that not only a woman but her husband sees as well. And thus, after a certain age, the woman tries to get pregnant and have a child. Yet, there are various hurdles that might arise in this journey that you want to take on. The biggest hurdle that might come is that you might have problems getting pregnant. But more than taking treatment, understanding the reason for it is more important. 1. Stress

One of the most common reasons for difficulty conceiving is the amount of stress that both the husband and wife are often under. With the changes in working that have occurred in these modern times, stress without physical exertion has become a prominent trait that in turn affects the fertility of the couple.

2. Weight

Another reason prominent especially for women is the weight. Often, overweight women have more problems getting pregnant. Being overweight makes the womb more hostile for the sperm and even the release of the female egg is not proper. This is generally happening as a result of body’s defence mechanism to prevent any more stretching of the skin.

3. Toxins

A human body secrets a bunch of toxins almost every day. These toxins are responsible for the overall functioning of the human body and are thus crucial for human existence. Yet, in excess, these toxins can affect the body in a negative way and so it is important that it is well taken care of. An overproduction of these toxins and chemicals can thus be correlated with conception problems and fertility issues.

4. Thyroid problems

With the change in the eating habits and food type, thyroid problems have become common in the world. Women with hypo or hyperthyroidism can find a disruption in their reproductive hormone balance as it affects their menstrual cycle significantly and in a very bad way. So, it becomes all the more important that you take proper measures in order to control this problem. Thyroid has been seen to cause problems during pregnancy as well and so it is imperative that proper precautions are taken.

5. Vitamin D deficiency

Another common problem that most of the younger generations face is a deficiency of Vitamin D. In winters this problem increases even more and thus the vitamin D levels dip even further in people. Vitamin D has often been seen as a vitamin that helps in the entire menstrual cycle and makes the body ready for pregnancy. But, a vitamin D deficiency can lead to the body not being ready to conceive and thereby no conception at all.
