Pregnancy is the most beautiful phase of a woman’s life. But after a long 40-week journey of carrying your baby in belly, you would want to see and hold the million dollar possession in your arms. The struggle becomes harder and harder as time passes. You would get anxious after a point of time. You may also get uncomfortable and impatient to get your delivery done as soon as possible. Pineapple contains an enzyme called Bromelain that softens the walls of the cervix that causes the uterus to contract which triggers labour. You can either cut pineapples into slices or can have a fresh glass of pineapple smoothie or juice.

Spicy foods speed up the digestion process as it irritates the intestines which are located just above the uterus causing it to contract. It is always recommended to eat 2 pieces of garlic every day on an empty stomach for better digestion. It speeds up the intestinal bowel movements that help in clearing the rectum. Although, labour is a natural process and it should happen naturally. But these foods can help to initiate the process a bit early. The best way to a safe labour is to have a good nutritious diet at proper intervals.
