5 Effective Hair Fall Treatments To Enhance Your Hair Growth

Hair is a part of our physical beauty, but considering the hairdos and the hair treatments we undergo - hair fall has become one of the common problems we face these days. The lack of knowledge about how this hair fall could be controlled using simple home remedies is making the problem even worse.

1. Hair oil Massage:

With a busy life, it is difficult to provide all the nutrients your body needs. This could affect your hair extremely as a lack of nutrients leads to excessive hair loss. In such cases, massaging your hair with lukewarm oil once in a week (at least) could be very effective. A proper hair massage will increase blood flow to your hair follicles, enhancing the strength of hair roots and conditioning the scalp. Oil massages could be with any oil rich in vitamin E such as coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, amla oil, etc. Adding a few drops of rosemary essential oil could provide effective and fast results.

2. Indian Gooseberry/Amla

Hair loss could be caused due to a lack of vitamin C and Indian gooseberries are rich in vitamin C. Their exfoliating and antioxidant properties help in tackling the hair fall issue and promote hair growth. 

Grind the flesh of amla and make into a pulp. You could mix it with a few drops of lemon juice or apply it straightaway to your scalp. Keep it for an hour or, if possible, overnight. Wash it with plenty of water and shampoo afterwords.

3. Fenugreek/Methi: 

Methi is a popular spice you find in every Indian kitchen. Along with enhancing the taste of the food, it also enhances your hair growth and prevents hair loss. It is a rich source of protein and nicotinic acid which helps in hair growth.

Methi also contains hormones antecedents which rebuild the spoilt hair follicles. It is especially useful in strengthening and moisturizing the hair. In fact, it is the best way to shoo away dandruff.

Soak the methi seeds overnight and prepare a paste from it the next morning. Apply coconut oil to your hair and then apply the methi paste all over your head. Let it sit there for an hour. Then wash it with water and shampoo. This could be repeated 3 to 4 times a week.

4. Onion juice: 

Onions could do wonders in stopping your hair fall. The high amount of sulfur content in onions helps in improving blood circulation to hair follicles and regenerating hair strands. Their anti-bacterial property kills the germs and parasites that are present on the scalp - protecting you from the possible infections that could lead to hair loss.

Either grate the onion and squeeze out the juice or grind onion and prepare its juice. Apply the onion juice directly onto the scalp. - letting it sit for an hour. Then, wash it off with a mild cleanser and water. Repeat this procedure two to three times a week.

5. Aloe Vera: 

Aloe vera has several health benefits. It contains enzymes that could promote growth of health. The alkalizing property of aloe vera could neutralize the pH on the scalp and hair - providing relief from scalp itching, redness and inflammation. It could also alleviate dandruff, provide strength to the hair and lustre too.

Aloe vera could be used either in the form of a gel or in the form of juice - as both forms work effectively. Consuming a tablespoon of aloe vera juice every day also helps in healthy growth of hair.

Apply aloe vera to your scalp. Leave it on for a few hours or overnight. Next morning, wash it off with lukewarm water. To have this home remedy work effectively, repeat the procedure three to four times a week.

Of course, using these home remedies could help you ward off the hair loss. In addition, following a proper diet along with these home remedies could be a greater combination in boosting your hair growth. Include green leafy vegetables and fresh fruits in your regular diet. This will help you in flaunting that thick, healthy and shiny hair!
