5 Easy Ways to Get Rid of Greasy Hair

Greasy hair can be a big problem for ladies as they often have long hair. And due to the hair being long, they start looking bad and get sticky. Taking care of hair is an important yet troublesome task. It is not easy keeping your hair safe and clean, thus there is always a constant need for intervention. Be it doctor, hair stylist or even some new shampoo. The dirt and oil that accumulates on your head can often damage the hair and thus it is important that you take necessary measures to keep your hair from damaging. To help you in that, we would like to tell you some tips.

1. Shampoo every alternate day

If your hair’s healthy and oil-balanced, you don’t need to shampoo them more than 3 times in a week. But for people with oily hair, it’s best to wash the hair daily with a mild anti-dandruff shampoo. Shampooing every alternate day or daily will prevent excessive dandruff and oil from building up. This means hair will appear cleaner and healthier. This simple process can go a long way in keeping your hair healthy and truly shining.

2. Avoid too many hair products

Hair products that are oil-based should not, in any case, be used for greasy hair. Even while choosing a shampoo, it is important that you go for the clear and translucent ones rather than the creamy ones. Look for light hairsprays for styling your hair and use them after washing your hair only once. Using oil-based hair products on oily hair will result in the hair being more sticky and thereby they won’t look good. Simultaneously, too many hair products will damage your hair further.

3. Use dry shampoo as a hack

Use any dry shampoo like baby powder or arrowroot powder to dust your hair if you are in a hurry and don’t have any time to wash your hair. Just lightly sprinkle it on your scalp and brush it all over your hair. By doing this, your hair will appear less greasy and bouncier. This will also help create the illusion of volume in your hair as the strands will not be sticking to each other

4. Use apple cider vinegar solution to rinse your hair

Researchers have found that an apple cider vinegar solution has a strong antibacterial and antifungal action. This prevents the excessive growth of dandruff that causes an itchy scalp. All you need to do is that while washing your hair, spray it with an ACV solution. Dilute two to three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup of water and use it to rinse your hair and then wash it after two to three minutes.

5. Eat nutritiously and follow a balanced diet

Several researchers have proven that the more dietary fat and carbs we consume, higher will be the sebum secretion by sebaceous glands. So, it is important to ensure that your diet is complete with omega-3 fatty acids. Also, Vitamin-E containing foods like almonds and spinach can also boost hair health. In addition to eating clean, it’s important that you drink lots of water to keep your scalp well-nourished. People often don’t take their diet and food habits seriously which ultimately results in various illnesses. So, it is important that you consider what you are eating very carefully before eating it.
