Your babies are your little bundles of happiness and you don’t want any harm coming their way. As delicate as they are, their skins too are very frail and sensitive. We put a lot of thought into the kind of clothes we buy for our kids, the toys they’d like, the colours on their bedding. But how many of us actually think a lot before buying soaps and other skin care products? Here is a list our favourite baby soaps. Enjoy!

1. Weleda Calendula Soap

This soap bar is considered to be one of the best products for baby skin. Although a little on the expensive side, this gentle soap is infused with organic calendula and chamomile flower extracts, as well as iris root extracts. These elements help your baby retain their soft and supple skin. The iris root extract helps to lock your baby’s skin moisture while mildly cleansing it. It also acts as a natural moisturizer and has a light fragrance.

2. The Honest Company Bubble Bath

This foaming bubble bath is a product by Jessica Alba’s famous brand – The Honest Company. This natural scented bubble bath creates lots of bubbles while still being hypoallergenic and free of sulfates, parabens, and phthalates. Being devoid of all these chemical ingredients, it has a lot of other supplementary ingredients such as –chamomile, aloe, coconut oil, jojoba and quinoa proteins. This combination helps to soothe, moisturize and gently clean the skin. It is available in three calming scents -Dreamy Lavender, Sweet Orange Vanilla, and Apricot Kiss.

3. Himalaya Gentle Baby Soap

Himalaya's Nourishing Baby Soap is an herbal formulation, especially developed for your baby's sensitive skin. It contains natural emollients like Honey, Sunflower, Castor Oil and Milk that moisturizes your baby's skin, reduces itching and inflammation. This is ideal for use during the long monsoon season, and is devoid of any artificial coloring agents.

4. Aveeno Baby Wash and Shampoo

This amazing baby wash blends natural oat extract into a rich lathering cleansing wash that cleans without drying because it is soap free and allergy tested. This tear-free formula can be used on skin and hair for gentle cleansing that rinses clean, leaving a soft, fresh fragrance. It helps to gently clean your baby’s skin while keeping it moisturized. Also, it is a tear-free formula hence does not cause any irritation to your baby’s eyes.

5. Mustela Stelatopia Milky Bath Oil

If your baby suffers from super-dry skin as a result of eczema, this is the perfect product for your little one. It is free from soap, fragrance and parabens, specifically formulated to prevent and reduce skin flare-ups. This oil preserves the hydro-lipid film of the baby’s skin with the help of super fatted agents. The sunflower oil hydrates, distills and replenishes lipids on the skin while reducing dryness and itching. The cleanser is also water-soluble, which means no rinsing is needed but no slippery residue will be left behind. This bath oil is approved by the National Eczema Association.
