1. Go for a short walk
Walking after dinner helps boost your metabolism and also helps improve the body’s digestion capabilities. It also helps prevent diabetes, heart attacks and also contributes to weight loss, reduced stress and lower levels of triglycerides. You don’t need to walk for an hour or two. Just take a brief 15-20 minutes walk and you will be all set.
2. Sleep on your left side
By sleeping on your left side you help improve blood flow to all the organs and also help improve the digestion. Also, by sleeping on your left side, you give proper space to your organs and they are able to have a proper function. Moreover, sleeping on the left side helps you in getting a better and somewhat deeper sleep which is ultimately the thing that is required.
3. Consume Fennel seeds (Saunf)
Fennel seeds are a good source of antioxidants, vitamins and dietary fibre all of which are required for food digestion and also helps alleviate constipation. They are also helpful in preventing heartburn, bloating and indigestion. Having saunf has anyway been a major practice in India and thus it is safe to say that you should adopt this habit from the elders.
4. Brush your teeth
This one habit is something that we even teach to our children. Brushing your teeth after dinner can even help you reduce weight significantly. The minty taste of the toothpaste actually makes you feel less hungry after you have had dinner and you don’t feel like having the late night snacks.
5. Sit in Vajrasana
This pose helps increase the blood flow to the lower body and is responsible for improving the overall digestion while also providing a good amount of comfort once you have gotten used to sitting in the pose. Just sit for 15 mins every day in the pose and you will see the wonders it does in almost no time.
