Our hair plays an important role in determining our personality. And thus, for its sake, it is our duty to take care of our hair in the best way possible. And on those lines, the one thing that has been proven to be of great use is hair conditioner. Now, you might have this question in your head that why should you use hair conditioners. Well, we have the answer for you. Hair can be damaged due to different weather conditions, dust and even rain. So, in order to protect your hair, it is important that the hair is given a protective layer that can significantly reduce the effects of these damages. But, commercial conditioners have a lot of chemicals in them which can damage your hair somewhat significantly. So, to help you keep your hair safe, we would like to suggest 4 conditioners that you can make at home itself.
1. Coconut oil and honey
Coconut oil has a low molecular weight and a straight linear chain which helps it penetrate the hair shaft easily. Also, its lauric acid content has a high affinity for hair proteins which makes it a stellar ingredient for hair conditioning. On the other hand, honey adds moisture and lustre to hair thereby making the entire conditioner the perfect choice. All you need to do is take coconut oil and honey in 2:1 ratio and mix them well. Then, just apply the mixture to your hair and wash it off after leaving it for 20 mins.
2. Cocoa butter and lavender oil
If your hair has suffered a bit too much damage then this concoction is ideal for you. Cocoa butter has been known for its moisturising properties and that is exactly what it provides to your hair. Also, lavender oil has been a proven remedy for alopecia or hair loss. Together, these two substances are sure to bring your hair back to their glory. Just mix both the substances along with a little almond oil and apply it to your hair and scalp for 20 mins. Once your entire head is covered, leave it on for 15 mins and then wash it off.
3. Egg yolk with vinegar
Eggs are rich in lecithin, which is believed to condition the hair by sealing moisture in the hair shaft. Vinegar, on the other hand, fights dandruff, lice and other scalp problems thereby making it ideal for hair care. In order to give your hair this extraordinary care, all you need to do is take 2 egg yolks, 4 tablespoons white vinegar and 2 tablespoons olive oil. Mix all of them together and form an even mixture. Now apply the paste to your hair evenly and make sure your entire head is covered. Wash it off after 15 mins and see the change in almost no time.
4. Olive oil and peppermint oil
Olive oil is believed to moisturize hair and strengthen it. It also protects against UV damage. Peppermint oil promotes hair growth and is believed to protect against scalp infections. Add both the oils and mix them well. Apply them evenly on your head. Leave it on for 20 mins and then wash it off.
