3 Non-Vegetarian Recipes That Your Baby Will Love

Meat equals happiness for most non-vegetarians, and introducing meat to your babies is a huge step. Once you have got the green signal from your doctor, you can start feeding your little one all the tasty meats you eat (pureed version).

So we found for you 3 amazing meat purees to give your baby when they start weaning.

1. Chicken Puree

This is a classic in every household. This tender meat is popular and the best meat to incorporate first into your baby’s diet

Ingredients:

1. 1 cup cold and cooked boneless chicken – chopped into no bigger than 1-inch pieces

2. 1/4 c cooking juice (save the juices that you cooked the meat in) or plain water

Directions:

Step 1: Place chicken chunks in blender or food processor and puree until a powdery mix is formed. Slowly add water and puree further until a smooth consistency is created.

Step 2: Add as much liquid as needed to make a consistency appropriate for your baby. You may add veggies or fruits to this puree as you like.

2. Fish Purée (Basic)

Fish is a super healthy meat, but be careful as to which fish you are giving your baby, as they should only be fed low mercury fishes. With that warning out of the way, here is a fish recipe for your baby.

Ingredients:

1. 1 cup cooked boneless white fish

2. 1/4 c or plain water

Directions:

Step 1: Place fish in blender or food processor and slowly add liquid while puréeing until a smooth consistency is created.

Step 2Add as much liquid as needed to make a consistency appropriate for your baby. Add in veggies or even fruits if you like!

3. Baby’s First Omelette

Omelettes are a classic breakfast dish in almost all countries. But for your little one, an omelette is healthy and filling enough to eat for breakfast, lunch as well as dinner. So make your baby their first omelette and introduce them to the breakfast of the world.

Ingredients:

1. 2 Egg Yolks

2. Milk or Formula

3. Puréed or Chunky Veggies

4. Cheese

Directions:

Step 1: Prepare a small frying pan with a pat of butter or a dab of olive oil and heat

Step 2: Scramble egg yolks and milk or formula in the bowl, then pour the egg mixture into a heated pan.

Step 3: Scramble the egg mixture until almost cooked and add veggies.

Step 4: Cook until the egg mixture is no longer runny.

Step 5: Add small bits of shredded cheese (Swiss, American, cheddar or parmesan)

Step 6: Scramble again when the cheese has melted.
