Stretch marks are long narrow marks along the skin’s surface. They have an off-colour hue to them. Although mainly found along the abdominal wall, your thighs, upper arms, buttocks and breasts are also prone to them. Most people want to get rid of them and if you do to then here are 3 natural and organic ways to reduce your stretch marks at home.

Sugar scrub

What you’ll need:

1.  tablespoon Raw Sugar

2. A couple drops of Almond Oil

3. A couple drops of Lemon Juice

What you’ll have to do:

1. Mix all the ingredients together to make a grainy textured scrub.

2. Massage this onto your skin for about 8-10 minutes.

3. Wash it off with warm water and moisturize.

Use this scrub once or twice a day.

This works because Sugar is an amazing exfoliant and the grainy texture helps is circulation and boosts the healing capacity of stretch marks.

Castor Oil

What you’ll need:

1. Castor Oil

What you’ll have to do:

1. Warm the Castor Oil slightly and massage it on the stretch marks for 15-20 mins.

OR

1. Apply the Castor Oil on the stretch marks and gently massage the area in circular motions for 5 to 10 minutes.

2. Wrap the area with a thin, cotton cloth and using a hot water bottle or a heating pad, apply some heat to the area for at least a half an hour.

Do this once a day. You’ll have to repeat this for atleast a month before you notice positive results.

Castor oil contains ricinoleic acid, a skin-conditioning agent that fastens the healing of stretch marks and makes them appear a lot lighter

Aloe Vera

What you’ll need:

1. Fresh Aloe Vera gel

2. 5 Vitamin A capsules

3. 10 Vitamin E capsules

What you’ll have to do:

1. Take out fresh gel from an aloe vera leaf and add oil from the vitamin A and E capsules. Mix them all together.

2. Massage this on the skin until it is fully absorbed.

3. Do not rinse.

Apply this once or twice a day.

Aloe vera gel is soothing for the skin and also fastens the healing process. This is because of the compounds glucomannan and gibberellin in the aloe vera, which increase collagen synthesis and fades stretch marks.

It is important to remember that each person’s skin is different. So if one of these don’t work for you, don't lose hope! These are many home remedies available, these are just the top 3.
