As you said above that when was you woke up than you was saw that milk flows from one of your breast and you got pain because of this, that means your second breast doesn't produced more milk but one of your breast produced milk properly than you should feed your baby from the breast in which milk produced in a good manner if you don't feed your baby from the breast then you definitely find your breast full of milk with pain also you will get fever if baby doesn't feed and the milk doesn't flows out, sometimes it causes some major issues also.

From the second breast of yours where milk doesn't produced then here below some tips for you, if you follow them than you have a good production of milk:-

1. First of all don't think that if this breast produced low milk or no milk so you can't feed your baby from that breast, although sure that you are nursing your baby with this breast efficiently.

2. Nurse frequently, and for as long as your baby is actively nursing.

3. Offer both sides at each feeding. Let your baby finish the first side, then offer the second side.

4. Avoid pacifiers and bottles when possible.

5. Give baby only breastmilk. Avoid all solids, water, and formula if baby is younger than six months,

6. Take care of yourself the most. Rest. Sleep when baby sleeps. Relax. Drink liquids to thirst (don’t force liquids – drinking extra water does not increase supply), and eat a reasonably well-balanced diet.

7. Consider pumping. Adding pumping sessions after or between nursing sessions can be very helpful – pumping is very important when baby is not nursing efficiently or frequently enough, and can speed things up in all situations. Your aim in pumping is to remove more milk from the breasts and/or to increase frequency of breast emptying. When pumping to increase milk supply, to ensure that the pump removes an optimum amount of milk from the breast, keep pumping for 2-5 minutes after the last drops of milk. However, adding even a short pumping session (increasing frequency but perhaps not removing milk thoroughly) is helpful.

8. Oatmeal is very good and rich source of iron which is essential for mothers going through post pregnancy anaemia. Studies have shown that anaemia can cause low level of milk production. Oatmeal being a good source of iron can help increase red blood cell count in blood which, in return, would lead to increased production of breast milk. Oatmeal is also a comfort food which is very easy to make.

9. Garlic is considered one of the best food that contributes in increasing milk production in mothers.

10. Unripe papaya is very popular as a great galactagogue. Consuming green papaya helps in increasing the production of oxytocin which in turn increases the production of milk. You can boil it and consume or better still.

11. Carrots are also believed to help with lactation. It is also rich in Vitamin A which is great for your baby’s growth.

12. Spinach, It is also a great source of iron. However it should be boiled before eaten so as to avoid any food-borne illness.

13. Fennel or fennel seeds also help a lot while lactating as it has properties similar to that of Estrogen.

14. Fenugreek seeds its an herb that is can be consumed by boiling in tea in order to increase the milk flow. These are also available in capsule form.

15. Nuts help with production of serotonin which is essential for milk production.
