3 Months Old Girl | Nov 2015
My baby is going to complete 4 months in another couple of days. Of late, I have started giving formula once in the night but the transition seems difficult. She cries a lot and refuses to use the bottle. But after she is fed she gets into a long deep sleep. Please help to make this transition smooth.
There is no hard and fast rule that you should only breastfeed your child till six months. It depends on the mother and baby. If you have no other problems in breastfeeding then it is best to continue till six months. If you must give formula then try the spoon feeding method. But make sure the utensils you use for the baby are thoroughly sterilized before each use. Also the water should be boiled and cooled.
