Can there be any other abnormalities in kids who suffer from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia?
Occasionally, children diagnosed with ALL have abnormalities in their immune system. About 3 in 10 of these children have very low levels of antibodies called serum immunoglobulin, which the immune system uses to fight infection. Whether weak immune systems cause ALL or are a consequence of the disease is still unclear.
